Traveling to Glover’s Reef Atoll
Belize City International Airport is a short, non-stop flight away from many cities in the United States, Canada, and Central America. See more information HERE. First, you will fly into Philip S.W. Goldson International Airport (PGIA) in Belize City, which provides excellent signage to help travelers get through customs and transfer to the in-country flight. Please visit the FAQ page for information on chartering your own boat in the case of missed flights.
Saturday Arrivals:
- Arrive at PGIA by 3:45pm to catch your complimentary commuter flight to Dangriga Airport with Maya Island Air in order to attend the required orientation
- Complimentary land transportation from Maya Island Air to Pelican Beach Resort
- Please ensure your commuter flight arrives before 5pm
- Your guide will meet you at Pelican Beach Resort by 5pm for 6:30pm orientation, as well as complimentary dinner and lodging
- Sunday, you will enjoy breakfast at Pelican Beach Resort before departing by a boat shuttle to Long Caye between 10:30am – 11am
- Depending on the weather, it takes about 1.5 hours to get to Long Caye on Glover’s Reef Atoll
- You will arrive at Slickrock, Long Caye, between 12:00pm – 12:30pm where your island adventure begins
Wednesday Arrivals:
- Arrive at PGIA by 12:30pm to catch your complimentary commuter flight to Dangriga Airport with Maya Island Air
- Complimentary land transportation from Maya Island Air to the boat dock
- Please ensure your commuter flight arrives before 2pm
- Your guide will meet you at the boat dock by 2pm for a brief 30-minute orientation either before departing to the island or on the island
- Depending on the weather, it takes about 1.5 hours to get to Long Caye on Glover’s Reef Atoll
- You will arrive at Slickrock, Long Caye, between 4:00pm – 4:30pm where your island adventure begins
